Residents of Kirov have been urged to install window locks.

      Specialists remind that toddlers often climb onto windowsills by themselves. Most often, such situations occur because children are left unsupervised by adults. This was reported by the press service of the Kirov city administration.

      To avoid tragedies, parents are advised to follow simple safety measures:

      install special window locks;

      not place furniture near windows that a child can climb onto the windowsill;

      not rely on mosquito nets. Children may mistake them for support, lean on them, and fall out along with the net;

      not leave small children alone in a room with an open window.

      In addition, adults are recommended to regularly remind children about safety rules: not to play on windowsills and balconies, not to run near open windows, and not to lean out.
