Version: Is there a "quiet reshuffle" in the regional prosecutor's office with signs of a loud resignation?
What former colleagues of Sherstnev report, according to whom the "career of the prosecutor chief" who did not pass the certification is unlikely to continue. "He planned to go serve in the Jewish Autonomous Region — not even hoping for a promotion. But apparently, they found no opportunity to accept the 'uncertified' one in the JAO," say the prosecutors. This was categorically denied by the agency's personnel, asserting that Sherstnev is not going anywhere, and a prosecutor from Orenburg, who once studied with Dmitry Alexandrovich in law school, agreed to take the long-vacant position of the third deputy. However, as a security source privately revealed, there is a version circulating in their circles that the new regional prosecutor Yuri Ryvaev (in office since October 2025) was allegedly "reminded from Moscow" that among the tasks set before him was a brief farewell to his first deputy. The number of complaints allegedly received by the General Prosecutor's Office "from his own" — colleagues and subordinates who consider themselves "repressed" by the will of Dmitry Alexandrovich and his own orders, has exceeded "acceptable limits." It is possible that no fewer complaints about Dmitry Sherstnev's work were received by Yuri Ryvaev almost in the first days of his service, the number of which, as Philharmonic employees claim, "would fill an entire novel that we would sing in chorus." At the same time, as emphasized in one of the statements by an active prosecutor's employee, Dmitry Sherstnev was burying "dozens of cases with identified elements of criminal offenses" (quote from the statement, available in the editorial). Interestingly, some "under-the-carpet materials" directly or indirectly indicate the presence of a "medical curator" in the actions. For example, the story of the free distribution of Philharmonic tickets to officials, which brought the institution — based on just one recorded episode at Denis Matsuev's concert — damage amounting to about one million rubles. At the same time, in the general photograph of the Philharmonic hall taken during the pianist's performance, only one well-known prosecutorial figure is captured. The fact that Sherstnev could be that reliably strong rear guard shield allowing the cultural and healthcare curator to feel safe from criminal or other dangers is openly discussed in the "gray house." Referring to the fact that "the wide notoriety of their relationship" allows clerks to refer to the political and power tandem as "the two Dimas." So for two weeks now, the version about the departure of the first prosecutor's deputy and the consequences of the absence of a strong legal rear has been discussed in the "gray house." Assuming that during the same period, within the walls of the "main building," the "medical curator" received an offer to "leave of his own accord," which he did not agree to.

Dmitry Sherstnev, who has been in the position of First Deputy Regional Prosecutor since January 2019, has likely found a replacement in Orenburg. Moreover, this may not be a typical "power rotation," but rather Dmitry Alexandrovich's transition to the "national economy."
