Bullet, Tahir, and Pharaoh "snatched" the silver
The competitions took place from May 18 to 22 in the Moscow region. More than 150 dog handlers and 51 teams from different regions of the country participated. Specialists, along with their dogs, demonstrated skills in searching for drugs, explosives, and working on a search profile.
The Kirov region was represented at the championship by employees of the IK-2, IK-11, and IK-17. Together with their service dogs — Pulya, Pharaoh, and Tair — they ranked among the best.
As a result of the competitions, the FSIN team from the Kirov region took second place in the category among territorial bodies with more than 3,000 employees. The first place went to the Krasnoyarsk region, and the third to the Khabarovsk region.
Kirov dog handlers also excelled in individual disciplines. Ivan Laptev with his service dog Pulya took second place in the nomination "Search for target substances in premises," while Vadim Buldakov with his dog Pharaoh came in third in the exercise "Selection of an item."
During the championship, the dogs searched for prohibited substances in premises, vehicles, and among groups of people. One of the most spectacular stages was the guard service with the detention and escorting of conditional violators.
