According to the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia, more than 330,000 residents of the region have chosen this method of receiving payments — about 80% of the total number of pensioners in the area. According to the SFR, over the past year, the share of pensioners receiving payments through banks has increased by another 2.5%. At the same time, about 92,000 people still use the services of "Post of Russia" — receiving their pensions at home or at the counters of post offices. The main reasons pensioners cite for switching to cashless payments are convenience and the speed of fund transfers. In the Kirov region, there are three main dates for pension payments through banks: the 8th — for residents of Kirov, the 13th — for pensioners from the districts of the region, and the 22nd — for those whose pension was assigned or transferred from another region after 2018. If the payment date falls on a weekend or holiday, the money is transferred in advance — on the last working day before the weekend. The Social Fund reminded that pensioners can change their method of receiving payments at any time. To do this, they can submit an application through the State Services portal, at the SFR client service, or through the MFC. To receive a pension through a bank, it is necessary to open an account with a credit organization that has an agreement with the Social Fund, as well as to issue a card of the payment system "Mir". Currently, such agreements have been concluded with almost all major banks in the region.
