A resident of Kirov remembered about the children only after the ban on the sale of the apartment.
According to the regional office of the Federal Bailiff Service, there was an enforcement proceeding in the department of bailiffs for the Oktyabrsky district concerning a 47-year-old resident of Kirov — the father of three minor children. The man had long evaded paying alimony, despite a court ruling. As a result, a debt exceeding 1 million 250 thousand rubles was accumulated. For systematically evading parental responsibilities, the man was first held administratively liable and then criminally liable under Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. As part of the enforcement process, the bailiff imposed a ban on registration actions concerning the debtor's apartment. The situation changed after the man decided to sell the property. To lift the restrictions and complete the transaction, he had to fully repay the alimony debt as well as pay the enforcement fee. Currently, the ongoing alimony payments are being deducted from the Kirov resident's salary.
