The regional government website has published a decree signed by the Chairman of the Government of the Kirov Region, Mikhail Sandalov, "On the provision of a subsidy from the regional budget in 2026 to a non-profit organization that won the selection for the right to receive a subsidy from the regional budget for the implementation of activities aimed at increasing the number of tourist trips in the Kirov Region."
In brief, the essence of the document is that a certain non-profit organization, which attracts a "record" number of tourists to our region, will be reimbursed for expenses related to activities aimed at "increasing tourist flow." The amount of the subsidy, according to the document, is 77 million 430 thousand 600 rubles and will be allocated from the regional budget. Judging by the appendix to the published decree, the funds for the subsidy will be taken from the expenditure item "other budget allocations."
As noted in the document, "the purpose of providing the subsidy is to increase the number of tourist trips in the Kirov Region," and the subsidy funds are intended to cover the non-profit organization's expenses for a number of activities "to increase tourist flow to the Kirov Region." In particular, the document states that the subsidy will financially support the non-profit organization's expenses for:
- the development of tourism infrastructure within the projects of legal entities
- support and promotion of event activities aimed at developing tourism in the Kirov Region
- the development of a concept for event activities, including the development of a script plan, corporate style, design elements, and the program for conducting event activities, as well as a number of other areas.
Applications from non-profit organizations for the provision of the subsidy are accepted in the application from non-profit organizations. The application form has also been published with the decree.
