The city hall has banned riding near the monuments.
According to the decree signed by city manager Vyacheslav Simakov, the movement of bicycles, roller skates, scooters, skateboards, and other similar means of individual mobility is prohibited in 13 locations in the city of Kirov.
The list of prohibited areas includes the Lenin monument in Theater Square, the area around the memorial complex "Eternal Flame," the area near the S.M. Kirov monument on Oktyabrsky Avenue, as well as the area near the Alexander Nevsky monument in the square by the philharmonic. Riding SIM is prohibited in the area of the monument to the soldiers who died in Afghanistan and Chechnya (also near the philharmonic), in the territory of the "Obelisk of Glory" stele in Victory Park, and in the area near the Marshal Konev monument.
Riding is also prohibited in the area of the obelisk monument to the residents of the village of Krasnoye who died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, in the area of the monument to those who died during the Great Patriotic War located near house No. 17 on Sovetskaya Street in the Novovyatsky district, as well as in the area of the memorial to those who died during WWII located near house No. 12 on Lenin Street (Novovyatsky district), in the area near the memorial by house No. 60 on Sovetskaya Street (Novovyatsky district), in the area of the obelisk monument to the fellow countrymen of the village of Vakhriino, and in the area of the memorial zone "Book of Memory," located near house No. 20 on Industrial Street in the Raduzhny microdistrict.
