The school in Zubarev Forest is "closing" at the end of the year, and there will be a trial regarding the school on Torfyanaya.

      At the meeting of the Duma commission, the construction of three schools in Kirov was discussed. The administration provided information about the difficult situation with each of them.

      The contract for the construction of the school in Dolgushino was signed back in 2021 for an amount of about 900 million rubles. The contractor, the company "Monolit," was paid an advance of 49% (441 million rubles). As of today, May 19, 2026, the construction readiness is 41%. No work has been carried out for a long time. As officials explained, the contractor has not yet submitted the estimated part of the project for state examination, and as a result, the construction cost has not been determined, making it impossible to accept and pay for the completed work. The authorities are currently trying to "nudge" him to submit the necessary documents for review.

      The head of the administration, Vyacheslav Simakov, noted that the company is currently focused on the school in Zubarevsky Forest and will address the second site as soon as it completes the first. According to him, "Monolit" promised to conduct an inspection of the unfinished building in Dolgushino and to submit it for state examination in the near future. In response to the deputies' outrage, Simakov stated that the authorities would not wait too long — if the developer does not fulfill its promises this time, the administration will take action. He added that the contract could have been terminated long ago, but no one particularly wants to deal with the school in Dolgushino anymore. Moreover, its cost has increased by one and a half times during this period.

      As for the school in Zubarevsky Forest, the contract was also signed in 2021, but the amount is larger — 1.8 billion rubles. According to officials, work is ongoing there, with about 110-130 people on site. The contractor is currently carrying out finishing work. The administration believes that the educational building will be completed by the end of June, and the sports facility by mid-July 2026. The complete finishing of the work is expected by the end of the year, but unfortunately, not the academic year, but the calendar year.

      Finally, regarding the school on Torfyanaya, for which the authorities recently terminated the contract with the contractor "Delta-Stroy," a lawsuit will soon begin. The administration is demanding the recovery of 488 million rubles of unearned advance and 162 million rubles in penalties from the company. If this amount can be recovered, there should be enough money to complete the construction. The only issue is that the initial claim was returned by the court because it was filed outside the correct time frame; however, the authorities will soon submit a new one. According to Simakov, a criminal case has also been initiated regarding the school on Torfyanaya. The unfinished building is currently idle, but the authorities have paid for its security. As for the selection of a new contractor, the competition is planned for the end of May.
