According to the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Vodokanal," the maintenance of the solid household waste landfill in the village of Kostino has already begun. The area of the site exceeds 25 hectares, and its perimeter is about 4 kilometers.
The landfill has not accepted waste since 2019. Currently, work is being carried out on reclamation and maintaining the area in a safe condition. One of the mandatory stages of maintenance is regular grass mowing.
For this purpose, the enterprise has brought a remote-controlled robotic lawn mower to the landfill. "Vodokanal" noted that the use of this equipment helps reduce the workload on employees and increase the safety of operations, as the slope angles at the site reach 45 degrees in some places.
