The results of the "UralchemCLASS" competition have been summarized in Kirovo-Chepetsk.
The competition is aimed at improving the quality of education and is held to identify and support the project activity of educational organizations. This year, the competition consisted of two stages: remote and in-person. First, schools presented projects for study and evaluation, and then there was a creative defense of the works. Schools demonstrated their ideas to the competition committee in the format of theatrical performances, presentations, interactive sessions with the audience, as well as videos. Topics included the creation of an agro-technological center and media space, renovation of chemistry and computer science classrooms, creation of school theaters, and much more. Teachers, students, and their parents participated in the development of the projects.
The jury included the head of the city, Sergey Zavyalov, the head of the education department of Kirovo-Chepetsk, Nina Ogorodova, the director of the KOA "Druzhba," city council deputy Ksenia Makhneva, the deputy director of the "KCHHK" branch for personnel and social policy, Andrey Zaikin, and deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Kirov region — the chief technologist for the nitrogen cycle of the "KCHHK" branch, Alexander Ivanishin, and the deputy director of the "KCHHK" branch for public relations, Elena Alexandrovna.
As a result of the two stages, the first place was awarded to the secondary school with in-depth study of individual subjects No. 7 with the project "Knowledge Laboratory: Updated Chemistry Classroom," the second place went to the A. Nekrasov Education Center with their project for creating a media space "MediaLab," and the third place was awarded to the Lyceum for the project "Magic of Theater." They received funding for project implementation in the amounts of 2.5 million rubles, 1.5 million rubles, and 1 million rubles, respectively.
Grant projects must be implemented by 2026.
Andrey Semyonyuk, director of the "KCHHK" branch of AO "OHC "Uralchem":
— This year we conducted an experiment — for the first time we added a creative defense of projects. It is important for us that the entire school team participates in discussing the needs of the school. We carefully studied the projects of all schools; they are very diverse, interesting, and relevant. Thank you for your approach, for the interesting ideas, and for your interest in the future. Kirovo-Chepetsk has always been known for its high level of education, and our grant competition is aimed at maintaining and improving it.
