The State Duma has adopted a new law on the write-off of debts for participants in the special military operation. It will come into effect from the day of official publication, reports "RIA Novosti."
It should be noted that the current legislation allows for the write-off of overdue debts on loans taken by participants of the special military operation who signed a contract no earlier than December 1, 2024, as well as their spouses. This concerns debts not exceeding a total of 10 million rubles, for which a court decision on debt recovery came into effect before December 1, 2024, and/or an enforcement order was issued (or presented for execution).
The new law exempts participants of the special military operation who signed a contract no earlier than May 1, 2026, for a period of at least one year, and their spouses from debts on loans, provided that a court decision on debt recovery came into effect before that day and/or an enforcement order was issued (or presented for execution). As before, the total amount of such debts must not exceed 10 million rubles.
