The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has published an updated macroeconomic forecast, in which it has maintained previously announced plans to increase tariffs for utilities, gas, and electricity.
As reported by Interfax, citing materials from the agency, in 2026, utility tariffs in Russia will be indexed by 8.7% starting from July 1. In 2027, the increase will be 7.1%, and in 2029 — 6.1%.
This year, the tariff increase is expected to take place on October 1. According to the ministry's forecast, utility services will rise in price by 9.9%.
The Ministry of Economic Development explained that further indexing will depend on the level of inflation, the cost of gas and electricity, as well as expenses for modernizing utility infrastructure.
In addition, the document states that an additional indexing of 1.5% annually is provided for the implementation of investment programs in the areas of heat supply, water supply, and wastewater disposal.
Forecasts for other regulated tariffs, including railway transportation, have been left unchanged by the agency.
