In the Kirov region, fire trains have been prepared for the fire hazard season.

      There are 26 fire trains on standby on the highway. In the Kirov region, such trains are based at the stations of Lyangasovo, Murashi, Zuevka, Pinyug, Kotel'nich, Shlakovaya, and Balezino. Each train is equipped with two water tank cars with a water supply of 120 tons, a foam generator, and a pump station car. In addition, the equipment is fitted with GLONASS navigation and communication modules, allowing real-time tracking of the trains' movements. As noted by the head of the Gorky Railway, Sergey Dorofeyevsky, about 130 people go on duty every day. The total number of fire train personnel is approximately 700 people. As part of the preparations for the season, railway workers and duty shifts have already conducted fire-tactical exercises to eliminate possible fires at infrastructure facilities. It is also reported that in 2026, an additional 14 water tank cars were introduced into the combat calculation in the most fire-prone areas.
