A Kirov resident became one of the best "tankers."
About 65,000 players from Russia and Belarus participated in the qualifying stage. Over the course of three weeks, they went through qualifying battles, after which the 14 best participants advanced to the finals. Among them was 24-year-old Ruslan Garmанов from Kirov. According to the finalist himself, he decided to participate in the tournament right after he saw information about the competition on the game's website. Ruslan has been playing for 13 years, and for the last five or six, he has been participating in tank tournaments and achieving success. In addition to the decisive battles, the finalists wrote the "Victory Dictation," testing their knowledge of the history of the Great Patriotic War. Evgeny Valov, the director of the Kirov branch of Rostelecom, noted that the tournament combined modern technologies, esports, and historical education, as well as attracted tens of thousands of young people to the event. The winners of the tournament received the opportunity to attend the Victory Parade on Red Square next year. Recall that earlier Newsler.ru reported that the Kirov region ranked in the top 10 regions of Russia in terms of player experience in "World of Tanks." According to analysts, the region took seventh place, surpassing most neighboring subjects. Experts attributed this to the high activity and extensive gaming experience of local gamers.
