"United Russia" extended the registration for the primaries until May 14.
"United Russia" extends the acceptance of applications for participation in the preliminary voting. This decision was made due to the high interest in the procedure — the flow of applicants, according to regional data, is not decreasing. Registration for participation in the primaries for the State Duma elections will last until May 14, 2026.
As reported by the secretary of the party's General Council, Vladimir Yakushev, more than 4,000 candidates are already registered on the primaries website, and the competition exceeds nine people per seat. The extension of deadlines should allow more people to try their hand at politics.
According to the party, about 12% of participants are fighters of the Special Military Operation. Approximately one-third of the candidates are women, one in five is under 35 years old, and one in four is already an acting deputy.
The chairman of the federal organizing committee, Alexander Karelin, noted that participants will face serious competition both from experienced politicians and among themselves.
Voter registration for participation in the voting will last until May 29. The voting itself will take place in the last week of the month. To date, more than 4.3 million voters are already registered in the system.
From the Kirov region, 304 candidates have registered for participation in the preliminary voting. As of April 28, the list of candidates for the preliminary voting for the State Duma elections from the Kirov region has increased to 21 people — just a few days ago there were only six. Candidates are announced both on party lists and in single-member districts No. 106 and No. 107.
