According to the FSB of Russia for the Kirov region, during operational-search activities, it was established that a man was posting calls for terrorist acts in the Telegram messenger. The statements were directed against representatives of certain religious groups and organizations. A criminal case was initiated against the resident of Kirov under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for terrorist activities, justification or propaganda of terrorism). The suspect has been detained and is in custody during the investigation. The investigation has now been completed, and the materials with the approved indictment have been submitted to the court. The maximum penalty under this article provides for up to 7 years of imprisonment.
