On weekends, a "hunt" will be organized for drunk drivers.
According to the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Kirov region, "comprehensive checks" are scheduled for April 24 and 25. The raids will take place both in Kirov and in the districts of the region. The events will involve not only traffic police inspectors but also public activists — representatives of people's patrols and the "Night Patrol" organization.
The agency reminded that driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol carries serious penalties: a fine of 45,000 rubles and a suspension of driving rights for a period of one and a half to two years.
The traffic police also emphasized that all patrol vehicles are equipped with video recorders. This is done to prevent conflict situations and eliminate corruption risks.
Residents of Kirov are asked not to get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol and to report violators to the police.
