In Kotel'nich, the stage of Rahim Azimov's project "We Celebrate Our Native Land" took place.
The initiative is being implemented with the support of Rahim Azimov and the regional veterans' organization. The competition is dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and the 90th anniversary of the Kirov region. As noted by the project participants, it has become a continuation of Azimov's team's systematic work to support the older generation.
Inter-district stages of the competition have already taken place in Oparino and Belaya Kholunitsa, and the next inter-district concert was held in Kotelnich. Participants from Kotelnich, Kotelnichsky, Darovsky, Svechinsky, and Shabalinsky districts performed on the stage of the city House of Culture. The audience saw vibrant vocal, dance, and poetic performances filled with sincere emotions and love for their homeland.
The project leader, State Duma deputy Boris Vesnin, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech:
"Working with veterans is one of our team's key priorities. It is the older generation that forms the moral foundation on which society stands. We consistently support such initiatives, including within the framework of the People's Program of the United Russia party. It is important to preserve traditions and give people the opportunity to realize themselves, to feel attention and respect.
For many years, we have been working together with the veterans' movement, implementing projects aimed at preserving the history, culture, and uniqueness of the Kirov region. And each time we are convinced: our veterans are a tremendous force. Their energy, talent, and zest for life inspire and unite people."
The chairwoman of the regional veterans' organization, Irina Shubina, emphasized that similar projects are implemented annually with the support of Azimov and Vesnin and help veterans lead active, fulfilling lives, preserve cultural traditions, and pass them on to the younger generation.
There are still several qualifying stages ahead, and the final gala concert will take place in Kirov at the end of summer.
