In Kirov, apartments were flooded due to the prolonged roof renovation.
In Kirov, at the house on Lepse Street, 9, there have been serious leaks due to the prolonged major roof repair. According to the residents, the work began back in January, but a month ago it practically stopped — only the covering remained to be laid. With the onset of thaw and rain, apartments on the upper floors began to flood. Water is dripping from the ceilings, and people have to put buckets under the leaks. The finishing and personal belongings have already been damaged. On April 17, the roof was covered with a film, but this did not help stop the leaks. Residents' appeals remained unanswered for a long time, so they turned to the People's Front. After the intervention of public activists, the Capital Repair Fund conducted an inspection with the participation of the contractor and construction control. The contractor promised to fix the leaks in the near future. Now the residents need to document the damage together with the management company and send claims to the fund. If compensation is not paid voluntarily, people will have to go to court. As public activists note, over the past week, they have received more than ten similar appeals. Residents are advised to actively monitor the capital repair process and, if possible, switch to special accounts for accumulating funds.
