In the Kirov region, a 19-year-old young man will stand trial. According to the regional FSB department, he is accused under two articles: part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization) and article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (treason).
According to the agency, the resident of Kirov independently established contact through Telegram with representatives of a Ukrainian paramilitary group, which has been recognized as a terrorist organization by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. During the correspondence, he expressed a desire to join its activities.
At the request of a Ukrainian curator, the young man planned to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the Moscow region, depart for the area of the special military operation, carry out an armed attack on servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and then switch sides to the enemy.
However, as clarified by the FSB, the perpetrator was detained by agency officers while attempting to leave for Moscow. The crime was thwarted at the preparation stage.
Currently, the indictment has been approved, and the criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
