A new GOST for heating apartments has been introduced in Russia.
A new GOST has come into effect in Russia, regulating the operation of heating systems in apartment buildings. As reported by RIA Novosti, the changes are aimed at reducing heat consumption and increasing comfort for residents.
This concerns special equipment through which apartments are connected to central heating. Now such systems must support automatic control: temperature regulation, programming heating modes, and accounting for heat consumption in each apartment.
According to Rosstandart, the new requirements will allow for more precise control of resource consumption and savings on heating. Additionally, the systems will be able to be managed remotely and provide extra protection — for example, against leaks.
It is noted that the GOST primarily concerns designers, developers, management companies, and equipment manufacturers. They are the ones who must take the new standards into account when constructing and modernizing buildings.
