In 2025, "KCHHK" spent nearly 2 billion rubles on ecology.

      Funds were directed towards the modernization of technological and gas cleaning equipment in the workshops, which allowed for increased efficiency in its operation. To eliminate the risk of pollutants entering the enterprise's drainage networks, the reconstruction of the nitric acid discharge collector was carried out. Backup flow meters were purchased to account for wastewater flow. In accordance with the requirements of the Stockholm Convention, electrical equipment was procured to replace devices containing persistent organic pollutants.

      The program for industrial environmental monitoring has been fully implemented, confirming the absence of exceedances of permissible environmental impact standards.

      "KCHHK" consistently collaborates with universities in the Kirov region on scientific initiatives aimed at minimizing environmental impact during the branch's production activities. The enterprise supports the development of environmental education in the city and region, works with public organizations, and conducts environmental events and campaigns. For instance, in 2025, the "KCHHK" branch partnered in team competitions for collecting and sorting waste in the contaminated area "Clean Games." A traditional tree planting campaign "Good Sprout" was held in the "Southern" park. Employees of the environmental department conducted lessons on environmental awareness in schools in Kirovo-Chepetsk, and a competition for making birdhouses was held among schoolchildren and their families. These initiatives will continue in 2026.

      The priorities of the enterprise's environmental policy remain the reduction of negative environmental impact through increased production reliability, compliance with environmental legislation, and achieving a level of environmental safety that meets the best industry standards. The "KCHHK" branch annually confirms compliance with the international environmental management standard ISO 14001, maintains a policy of informational transparency, especially regarding environmental protection issues. This is a significant area of activity for "Uralchem" as a whole. Thus, an environmental report of the enterprise is published annually.
