Gergiev performed quietly in Kirov.

      The concert as part of the anniversary XXV Moscow Easter Festival, which could have been canceled because the maestro allegedly refused to visit Kirov upon learning that resellers were trying to profit from the art by selling tickets with a markup of 500 rubles, took place quite quietly. Information about the event that occurred was only shared in the Philharmonic's public page on the social network "VKontakte" and possibly on the personal pages of Kirov residents who are fans of symphonic music and attended the maestro's concert.

      After Newsler.ru published an article stating that Valery Gergiev might not come to Kirov, a release appeared on the regional government's website assuring that the concert would indeed take place. However, after the "concert date," there were no further announcements about the performance of the world-renowned conductor on the regional government's website.

      It is worth noting that a week before the concert date, when it became known that Valery Gergiev would indeed visit our city, the regional philharmonic began selling tickets on its website (prior to this, tickets for "Gergiev" were only sold on online ticket service platforms, likely unrelated to the philharmonic). Moreover, for the date of April 13, 2026, there were already no tickets available for the concert.
