Authorities inspected the South River after reports of feces — found nothing.

      Employees of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Kirov Region visited Podosinovets, to house No. 12 on Sovetskaya Street. The reason was information that wastewater from the cesspool was spreading across the soil and flowing towards the Yu River. According to the government press service, during the inspection of the area, no traces of liquid household waste spills were found on the ground. The entry of wastewater into the river was also not confirmed, the agency reported. At the same time, the Ministry of Natural Resources noted that monitoring compliance with the water protection regime of the Yu River falls under the jurisdiction of the federal Rosprirodnadzor. The materials of the inspection have already been sent to its territorial office for further investigation. The day before, the press service of the ONF reported that the cesspool, connected to the house and the local boarding house, regularly overflows. Wastewater flows out and moves towards the bank of the Yu River by natural slope. People pay for pumping from 800 rubles a month, but the problem has not been resolved for years. After an appeal to the People's Front, the spill area was covered with soil. Public activists have contacted the prosecutor's office.
