Kirov prisoners sculpted eggs from pasta, монтажной пены, and plaster.
The competition was held among inmates of correctional institutions in the region. The jury received works made from fabric, wood, metal, beads, straw, wire, paper, papier-mâché, threads, as well as from pasta, construction gypsum, and mounting foam. Among the exhibits were Easter eggs, crocheted, decorated with beads, carved from wood, made from polymer clay, napkins, and even strings. Techniques used included painting, appliqué, decoupage, quilling, embroidery, macramé, knitting, and patchwork sewing. "There were eggs made from pasta, construction gypsum, and mounting foam. The Easter compositions included artificial flowers, branches, decorative figurines, as well as additional decorative elements made from feathers, colored ribbons, moss, sisal, and raffia," added the FSIN staff. Two works were particularly noted: "Waiting for a Miracle" from IK-33 (Kotel'nich) — entirely made from pasta, and "Symbol of Rebirth" from SIZO-1 (Kirov) — a rotating musical Easter egg. Winners in the categories: "Easter Egg with Artistic Painting" — 1st place went to an inmate from LIU-12; 2nd place — to UFIC No. 2 at KP-21; 3rd place was shared by inmates from SIZO-2 and IK-17.
