According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred at night on Pavel Korchagin Street. Two men were on their way to visit someone when a conflict broke out between them. At some point, one of the friends began demanding money and beat the other with a gas wrench.
After the attack, the assailant took the mobile phone from the 33-year-old victim and fled. It was later revealed that he pawned the stolen item.
Criminal investigation officers quickly identified the suspect — a 32-year-old resident of Kirov with a prior conviction. The man was detained and taken to the police station.
A criminal case has been initiated under the article "robbery." Investigative actions are currently underway.
