In the Kirov region, a fire claimed the life of a person in one day.
Over the past day, from early morning on April 13 to the morning of April 14, fire and rescue units in the Kirov region responded to alarms 11 times. Of these, nine responses turned into full-fledged man-made fires, and two times assistance was required for participants in road traffic accidents.
The most tragic case occurred in the private sector of the village of Yury. A residential house caught fire on Pushkin Street. The area of the fire was 64 square meters. When the flames were extinguished, rescuers discovered the body of a deceased person. According to the press service of the Investigative Committee, it was a 56-year-old man. Twelve specialists and four units of equipment were working at the scene — from both the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the regional fire service. The exact cause of the fire is currently being investigated by experts. It is presumed to be careless smoking. Specialists found that the source was located in the room by the sofa.
Another serious fire occurred at an enterprise in Podosinovets. The roof of a garage caught fire on Rabochaya Street. The fire spread over 36 square meters. Thanks to the prompt intervention of 13 firefighters (four units of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and municipal security), it was possible to prevent the fire from spreading to the main workshops. The preliminary cause is problems with electrical equipment.
There were also incidents in the regional agglomeration. In Kirovo-Chepetsk, an apartment burned on Sosnovaya Street. The area was small — only 2 square meters, however, 15 personnel and 5 fire trucks responded to the call. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Experts believe that careless smoking led to the ignition.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Kirov region urges residents to be more attentive: the human factor — faulty wiring and an unextinguished cigarette — remains the main version in most similar emergencies.
