The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kirov confirmed the fact of the incident. According to official data, a 20-year-old resident of the village of Raduzhny killed a dog in his apartment. An examination has been appointed, and a preliminary investigation is underway. Based on its results, a decision will be made on initiating a criminal case.
The tragedy occurred on April 3 in house No. 10a on Mira Street. According to reports on social media, the killed animal belonged to a deceased participant of the Special Military Operation, who was awarded numerous medals. The dog, according to relatives, was dear to the family as a memory of the fallen.
Public posts also claim that the young man allegedly received the dog from its owners under false pretenses, posing as a temporary caretaker, and that a girl was present with him in the apartment, while the animal suffered a knife wound. These details have not been officially confirmed.
Residents of the building told journalists that they saw blood in the entrance hall the morning after the incident. "They say they killed it and dragged it into the woods, buried it. That's what I heard," shared one of the residents. According to them, the alleged suspects still live in the same building.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kirov reported that a preliminary investigation is being conducted regarding this fact, and an examination has been appointed. A decision on initiating a criminal case will be made based on the results of the investigation.
