In Kirov, on the morning of April 10, smoke was reported in the food block of the "Maxi" shopping center on Ivan Popov Street. This was reported by the regional press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM).
Six fire crews from EMERCOM of Russia quickly arrived at the scene. There was no open flame observed in the building. Before the rescuers arrived, about 60 people—visitors and employees—evacuated from the shopping center on their own. There were no injuries.
As clarified by EMERCOM, the cause of the smoke was the ignition of grease deposits in the exhaust system of the hot kitchen. The situation was quickly resolved.
