The Ministry of Finance spoke about the fate of the money for the tunnel.

      According to the agency, over 1 billion rubles were allocated for the construction of the tunnel in the first quarter of 2026 — this is the largest expenditure item of the road fund for this period. The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately 6 billion rubles.

      The work is being carried out in stages. In 2025, the contractor began forming the so-called "body" of the tunnel — the construction of a protective screen. The main volume of construction is planned for 2026, for which about 4 billion rubles are allocated from the federal and regional budgets.

      In total, the expenditures of the regional road fund for the first three months of 2026 exceeded 3.5 billion rubles. Of this, 1.96 billion rubles were allocated for regional roads, and another 1.58 billion for local roads. 461.2 million rubles were allocated for major repairs, maintenance, and repair of municipal roads.

      The ministry also noted that the main volume of fund utilization traditionally occurs in the second half of the year, when road work peaks.
