In the Kirov region, the average salary of some specialists is three times higher than that of others.
Kirovstat specialists published a report on the socio-economic situation in the region for January-February 2026. One of the key indicators is the average monthly nominal accrued salary of employees in organizations (including small businesses), which amounted to 69,994 rubles in January. This is 12.5% higher than in January 2025.
The number of employed individuals in organizations in the region in January 2026 is 347.8 thousand people, which is 0.8% more than a year ago.
The highest salaries are in chemical production (116,114 rubles, 165.9% of the regional average) and in financial and insurance activities (98,267 rubles). Next is the production of medicines (88,122 rubles).
The lowest salaries are in textile production (39,033 rubles, 55.8% of the average), clothing production (36,187 rubles), and wood processing (63,112 rubles). Salaries in the education sector (52,887 rubles), culture, and sports (60,135 rubles) are also below average.
At the same time, in manufacturing industries, the salary is 84,290 rubles (120.4% of the average), while in agriculture, it is 67,680 rubles (96.7%).
The statistics cover organizations of all types of activities, including small enterprises. The data is presented without social payments, taking into account personal income tax and other deductions, that is, "gross."
Recall that on April 6, we reported that the Kirov region found itself at the "bottom" of the ranking for income levels in small and medium-sized settlements. Despite the increase in salaries, the figures remain below the national average.
