Eggs are becoming more expensive for Kirov residents.
Kirovstat published a report on the socio-economic situation of the region for January-February 2026, supplemented by a presentation with key indicators.
Over the month, from January to February, prices increased by 0.5%, and since the beginning of 2026, inflation has already reached 2.2%. However, the year-on-year growth is much more indicative — compared to February 2025. According to Kirovstat, the overall consumer price index for this period rose by 7.06%.
What has become more expensive:
chicken eggs — the price increased by 23.4% over the month (compared to December 2025 — by 26%);
alcohol — by 1.1%;
non-alcoholic beverages — by 0.6%;
fruits and vegetables (including potatoes) — by 3.2% compared to January.
What has become cheaper:
meat products — by 1.5%;
oils and fats — by 2.3%;
milk and dairy products — by 0.6%;
granulated sugar — became more expensive by 2.2% (compared to January), but compared to last year, it became cheaper by 9.9%;
pasta and cereal products — a decrease of 0.9% compared to January.
The cost of a fixed set of consumer goods and services on average in the region in February amounted to 23,747 rubles, increasing by 0.5% over the month. The minimum set of food products cost 6,621 rubles (+1.5% compared to January).
