They were dragged into the trunk and driven around the city: two women from Kirov will answer for the abduction of their friend.

      In Kirov, the investigation into a high-profile incident involving three friends has concluded. What began as a gathering nearly ended in tragedy for one of the women. Two residents of the regional center are accused of kidnapping their acquaintance — the assailants beat her and forcibly shoved her into the trunk of a car.

      The events unfolded deep in the night on October 13, 2025. In the entrance of one of the buildings on Maklin Street, a quarrel erupted between the women, who were heavily intoxicated. The conflict quickly escalated into physical violence: the accused attacked their friend, striking her with their feet and hands to the head and body.

      After the beating, they did not allow the victim to leave. The woman was dragged outside and forcibly locked in the trunk of a passenger car. The kidnappers began to move chaotically around the city, lacking a clear plan of action. The victim spent the entire time in captivity while the car circulated through the streets of Kirov.

      The captive was freed by chance — thanks to the vigilance of the police. Officers from the State Traffic Inspectorate stopped a suspicious vehicle for inspection. One of the suspects was behind the wheel. It turned out that the driver was also intoxicated. During the search of the vehicle, the law enforcement officers heard sounds coming from the trunk and discovered the beaten woman inside. The police immediately provided the necessary assistance to the victim.

      The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case under the article on kidnapping committed by a group of individuals using dangerous violence (paragraphs "a, b" of part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Both accused women fully admitted their guilt and expressed remorse for their actions.

      Investigators have gathered irrefutable evidence. The case has already been sent to court, where the women will have to answer for their nighttime outing with their friend in the trunk.
