Kirov pensioners will receive their pensions earlier.

      The reason is the long May holidays. In 2026, non-working days fall on May 1, 2, and 3. If the pension payment date coincides with a weekend or holiday, the payment is legally moved to an earlier date. This was stated by State Duma deputy Alexey Govyrin ("United Russia") in a comment to RIA Novosti.

      This applies to both bank delivery and postal service delivery.

      "For those whose date falls on the very first days of the month, the payment may be processed in the last working days of April. For those who receive their pension later, the transfer to April usually does not occur because their date does not initially fall on the long May holidays," Govyrin explained.

      The deputy emphasized that there is no single payment date for the entire country. Schedules depend on the region and the method of delivery. Kirov pensioners can check their schedule at the Social Fund office or at the bank servicing the payment.

      This is not about a new scheme or additional payments, but about the standard transfer of payment deadlines, which is applied every time the beginning of the month coincides with non-working days.

      It is also worth noting that since the beginning of the second spring month, the Social Fund office for the Kirov region has conducted a planned increase in social pensions and state benefits.
