The region's GDP is expected to rise to 1.6 trillion by 2036.
The volume of gross regional product (GRP) in 2025 is expected to reach 738.9 billion rubles — this is 34.8% more than in 2022. Industrial production has increased by one and a half times over the past five years, reaching 651 billion rubles. The average monthly salary during the same period increased by 64.6% and amounted to 67.2 thousand rubles.
The regional development strategy until 2036 envisions an increase in GRP to 1.6 trillion rubles — 2.8 times the current level. Per capita income is planned to reach 111.8 thousand rubles by that time.
The Ministry of Economic Development stated the possibility of setting more ambitious goals: to increase the economy by 2.5 times by 2030 and by 3 times by 2032. To achieve this, it will be necessary to attract investments totaling more than 500 billion rubles over five years.
The main drivers of growth should be increased labor productivity, development of construction and agriculture, as well as an increase in retail turnover. It should be noted that today, April 1, Sokolov also instructed his subordinates to think about the employment of rural girls, who, in his opinion, often leave the villages because they do not want to work in agriculture or in the forest.
