In Kirov, a child's pacifier was found in a Yorkie puppy.
The patient was brought to the veterinary clinic on Podgornaya, 7 with complaints of vomiting for three days and a complete refusal to eat. The animal's condition was worsening — the puppy was developing hypoglycemia, a dangerous drop in blood glucose levels.
During the examination, specialists performed an ultrasound and discovered a foreign body in the small intestine. It did not have typical signs and was poorly visualized, complicating the diagnosis. Later, the owner recalled that a child's pacifier had gone missing at home.
The doctors decided to perform surgery. During the laparotomy, the pacifier was indeed removed from the puppy's intestine.
After the intervention, the animal quickly recovered and soon began to eat. Its condition has now stabilized, and it continues to recover.
