Crushed the bridge: two drivers were sentenced in Kirov
The Kotelnich District Court examined a criminal case against two residents of the Omsk region. They were found guilty of rendering transportation routes unusable.
As established by the court, the men organized the transportation of oversized cargo without the necessary permits. Two trucks were traveling from Tyumen to Arkhangelsk, with each vehicle's weight exceeding 150 tons.
While passing through the Kirov region, the bridge structures over the Moloma River were deformed due to the overload. As a result, traffic on the section of the federal highway "Vyatka" was effectively halted.
The damage caused to the road agency exceeded 20 million rubles. It was compensated even at the investigation stage. The court imposed fines on the guilty parties: one was fined 350,000 rubles, and the other 300,000 rubles.
