Belikh took a DNA test.
Today, the former governor of the Kirov region, Nikita Belykh, wrote on his social media page that during the New Year holidays, he ordered a genetic test and DNA analysis to study his ethnic composition, disease risks, and predispositions. "The procedure is quite lengthy, involving the collection of biological material," he reported. "DNA extraction, decoding, interpretation, etc. In short, I just received the results a few days ago."
Belykh noted that there was nothing unexpected regarding his ethnic composition. As can be seen in the pictures he published (see below), most of his ancestors are Russian, from various regions. There were also descendants from the Kirov region. "On my father's side, it turned out that quite often the wives were from Vyatka," wrote the former official.
Nikita Yuryevich added that the text also showed his inclination towards sports and predisposition to diseases: "It's also clear from the abilities, in sports, I just regretted that I didn't engage in rowing in my youth. Regarding predisposition to diseases — useful information, apparently, I need to undergo a few more medical tests."
