The annual list of such "expensive" real estate (shopping and business centers) is approved by the regional Ministry of Property Relations. If a property is on this list, there will be no exemptions regardless of the tax system applied.

      In all other cases, to avoid overpayment, two conditions must be met:

      It must be genuinely used in entrepreneurial activity, and not, for example, rented out as housing or left abandoned.

      What needs to be done right now

      An application can be submitted remotely, without waiting in line at the inspection. The most popular method is through the "Personal Account of the Taxpayer" on the FTS website. Documents can also be submitted at MFCs, by mail, or through electronic document management systems.

      The application must include evidence that the property is used for business. As tax officials note, the set of such documents is individual: these can include lease agreements, receipts for utility payments, acceptance-transfer acts, or bank statements.

      After verification, the tax authority will either confirm the benefit or send a reasoned refusal. Specialists recommend meeting the deadline by May so that the mass mailing of notifications already takes into account the status of the benefit recipient.
