In Kirov, the court sentenced a 30-year-old local resident who was found guilty of illegally acquiring drugs in large quantities. As established in court, the man arranged to buy mephedrone via the internet. While in an apartment on Levitan Street, he purchased the prohibited substance and kept it in his possession. Later, the drug was discovered and seized by police officers. The total weight of the seized substance was over 2 grams. It turned out that the Kirov resident had previously been convicted of a similar crime. The court sentenced him to 4 years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime colony. The convicted man and his defender attempted to appeal the verdict; however, the appellate court upheld it without changes. The man was sent to the colony under escort.
