As noted by the residents of Kirov, there are no markings or road signs at the intersection — both on the even and odd sides of Nikitskaya Street. As a result, drivers do not yield to pedestrians, and parents with children, including mothers with strollers, are forced to violate traffic rules. The alternative is to take a detour, making a significant detour. However, according to local residents, in practice, most choose the shorter but dangerous route. Kirov residents have turned to the People's Front with their complaint. After the public's appeal to the city administration, the authorities promised to solve the problem: three pedestrian crossings are planned to be arranged in the area. Two of them will appear on Nikitskaya Street — on both sides. The contractor has already been tasked with installing "Pedestrian Crossing" road signs by April 15. The issue is under control. It is worth noting that a similar situation was previously observed at the intersection of Svobody and Militsionnaya Streets. After public intervention, a traffic light and corresponding markings appeared there. Now residents hope that the issue on Nikitskaya will not remain just on paper.
