The developers thanked users for their participation in the project and promised to provide additional information about the service's shutdown timeline and ways to preserve the created content. According to OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman, the company also plans to discontinue the developer version of Sora and remove video functionality from ChatGPT. The project team will shift focus to other areas, including robotics. It is noted that OpenAI intends to reassess its strategy and concentrate on productivity tools that will be beneficial for both businesses and regular users.
