The incident occurred on the evening of February 17, 2025, in an apartment in a house on Shkolnaya Street in the village of Levany. A conflict arose between the men, which escalated into a fight.
As established by the court, the accused first knocked his acquaintance to the ground and then continued to beat him with his feet. As a result, the victim sustained serious injuries, including rib fractures, which were classified as serious harm to health.
The court agreed with the position of the state prosecutor and sentenced the man to 2 years and 8 months of imprisonment.
The convicted man attempted to appeal the verdict; however, the appellate instance upheld it without changes. Ultimately, the man was sent to a strict regime correctional colony, where he proceeded under escort.
