According to the administration of the city of Kirov, sand spreaders are being removed from special vehicles and replaced with washing units. Winter brush units are being dismantled from sidewalk equipment, and in the summer, vacuum equipment will be used on them.
"For winter attachment equipment, we immediately conduct a defect inspection of units and aggregates to understand what needs to be repaired for the next season. Then we send them for conservation, treating all moving parts with plastic lubricants," said GDMS representative Alexey Vylegzhanin.
This week, it is planned to prepare two mainline vacuum cleaners for deployment on the roads, as well as one sweeping-vacuum municipal machine for use on sidewalks.
All equipment is scheduled to be converted for the summer season by April 15. In addition, GDMS will keep several tractors and combined road machines in reserve, ready to respond to snow removal in case of changing weather conditions.
