Kirov residents were reminded: you don't have to pay tax on agricultural machinery, but there is a nuance.

      According to the regional tax office, most benefits are granted proactively based on data received from the Social Fund, the Federal Service for State Registration, and other agencies. However, there are categories of citizens who need to submit an application. This includes, in particular, owners of personal subsidiary farms. According to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation, in 2025, tractors, self-propelled harvesters, machines for applying fertilizers, and specialized vehicles will not be subject to transport tax if they are registered to agricultural producers and used in agricultural work. This also applies to citizens running personal subsidiary farms, provided they use a land plot designated for these purposes. Additionally, regional legislation exempts owners of tractors and harvesters running personal subsidiary farms even on rented plots from transport tax. To receive the benefit, it is necessary to submit an application to the tax authority and, if necessary, attach supporting documents: a lease agreement for the plot, an extract from the household book, as well as documents confirming family ties—such as copies of marriage or birth certificates. According to the Federal Tax Service, the benefit for 2025 has already been granted to 778 residents of the region. Those who have not yet declared their right are advised to do so by April 1, 2026. The most convenient way is to use the "Personal Account for Individual Taxpayers" service. In it, some data is filled in automatically, and documents can be attached electronically. Applications can also be submitted through the Multifunctional Center or in person at the tax office. The Federal Tax Service emphasizes: if the application is not submitted on time, the benefit will not be taken into account when calculating the transport tax.
