According to the documentation, the contractor is set to carry out chemical treatment of areas overgrown with the dangerous weed over a total area of 3.76 hectares. The work is planned both in the village of Kiknur and in several settlements of the district — in particular, in the villages of Yermolkino, Russkaya and Mariyskaya Tolshova, as well as in the villages of Russkiye-Krai and Kokshaga.
The fight against hogweed will be conducted using herbicides in two stages. The first will take place from early May to mid-July (up to the flowering phase of the plant), and the second from June to the end of September. After each stage, specialists must assess the effectiveness of the treatment.
The contractor is required not only to carry out the spraying but also to notify residents in advance about the upcoming work and safety measures. Strict safety requirements are also in place: employees must wear protective clothing and undergo medical examinations.
It is noted that the work will be considered of high quality if the effectiveness after the first treatment is at least 60%, and after the second — at least 85%. Otherwise, the contractor is obliged to carry out a repeat treatment at their own expense.
In addition, auctions have been announced for the fight against Sosnowski's hogweed in the Luzsky municipal district and in the territory of the Urzhum urban settlement. A total of 284,800 rubles and 134,243 rubles have been allocated for this purpose, respectively.
