Kirov residents complain of abuse at work.

According to the survey results, 42% of women reported psychological pressure from managers, while among men this figure was 34%. The same is true for abuse within teams: 30% of women and 21% of men reported it.

The most vulnerable group turned out to be Kirov residents aged 35 to 45. Abuse of power by management was experienced by 43% of respondents in this age group, and pressure from colleagues by 34%. According to the survey, this category is the most actively represented in the labor market and more often gets into conflictual work situations.

Notably, employees with higher education more often reported unhealthy attitudes from management — 45%. At the same time, workers with secondary vocational education more often suffer from inappropriate behavior by colleagues — 34%.

Among the most common manifestations of abuse by management, respondents named psychological pressure and arbitrariness (36% each). Nearly one in four survey participants (27%) considered direct violations of labor law to be abuse — coercion to work overtime, unpaid labor, obstruction of taking sick leave, and delayed wages. Kirov residents also complained about public humiliation, being ignored, and unfounded nitpicking.

Within teams, the most serious problem was systematic nitpicking (32%). In addition, participants noted a toxic atmosphere, psychological pressure, humiliating criticism, spreading of rumors, and attempts to isolate employees.

More than half of respondents believe that at the first signs of abuse by a manager it is better to quit. In the case of pressure from colleagues, 45% of respondents favor immediate resignation. Women and people aged 35–44 are more likely than others to support drastic measures.

At the same time, Kirov residents with incomes of 150,000 rubles a month or more are more willing to quit because of a toxic boss, but less likely to do so because of problematic colleagues.
