Theft "among friends": Kirov resident lost 15,000 rubles on his way home

      A resident of the regional capital contacted the police after discovering that 15,000 rubles were missing from his wallet. It turned out that the previous evening the man had been drinking at a bar and was returning home in the company of a person he barely knew. In the building's entrance, the alleged perpetrator took advantage of the victim's condition and discreetly removed the money from his wallet. The moment of the theft was captured on a surveillance camera.

      Investigators opened a criminal case on the charge of theft. During operational activities, criminal investigators identified the suspect — a 26-year-old resident of Kirov who had previously been convicted of similar crimes. He had already spent the stolen money on personal expenses. The investigation is ongoing. The suspect was placed under a written undertaking not to leave the area and to observe proper behavior.
