Kirov residents unwilling to compromise on pay: 40% of job seekers are not lowering their salary expectations
According to the study, 40% of Kirov residents are unwilling to reduce their desired salary level, even if the employer's offer turns out to be lower. Another 22% are willing to compromise by at most 5%, and an equal share — by no more than 10%. As a result, 62% of Kirov residents are either not willing to concede at all or allow only a slight reduction. On average, Kirov residents are willing to lower their demands by about 9.5%.
Men turned out to be slightly more flexible than women: on average they are willing to lower expectations by 10.2%, women — by 8.8%. At the same time, the number of those who categorically do not want to give in is almost the same — 41% among men and 39% among women.
The most principled were Kirov residents aged 35 to 45: almost half of them (48%) are not willing to lower their demands. Young people under 24, on the contrary, are more relaxed about this: only 25% are unwilling to make concessions, while 23% are willing to lower their expectations by as much as 10%.
Those earning from 150,000 rubles a month are more likely than others to refuse to lower the bar — 48% of them. Moreover, in this group the average possible concession was the smallest — 8.8%.
Employment status also affects job seekers' positions. Among those already employed, 47% are not prepared to lower their salary expectations. Among the unemployed there are noticeably fewer such people — 34%. Experts note that employed people more often look for a new job precisely because they are dissatisfied with their current salary.
