      Yesterday, January 17, four man-made fires occurred in Kirov Oblast. The Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for Kirov Oblast reported on some of them:

      in the settlement of Bezbozhnik a duplex residential building with annexes caught fire, covering an area of 110 sq. m. The fire is believed to have started due to an electrical short circuit.

      in the village of Rybakovshchina a fire started in a private residential house and outbuildings, covering an area of 60 sq. m., for the same reason. One person was injured as a result of the incident.

      In addition, fire and rescue units in Kirov Oblast responded to three road traffic accidents and other emergency situations.

A 57-year-old resident of the settlement of Murashi fell victim to telephone scammers who posed as employees of the power supply company, the Investigative Committee and the FSB. A schoolgirl from Belaya Kholunitsa reached the final of an international mathematics competition. An eleventh-grade student from Kirov Oblast placed among the top 30 participants in an international mathematics competition.
